Cornell is touring France, and lost their first game 77-76 to Paris Under-20 squad (it was actually their B-team). Cornell has a player that was recruited by Bradley a year ago-- Ryan Wittman from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He is the son of former NBA player and Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach Randy Wittman. He was the Rookie of the Year in the Ivy League this past season. He was fourth in the Ivy League in scoring (15.6 ppg.). He scored 19 points and had 6 assists in Cornell's loss. --

Lafayette is on a tour of Italy and San Marino. They played in San Marino Thursday night, and beat the San Marino national team 91-80. Then they playerd Friday night against College Italia Aeronautica Militare and won 104-63. They finished their tour undefeated--

New Mexico is on a tour of the Bahamas, playing a bunch of recreational type "teams". They barely beat a group called the Bahamian Select team 73-71 Saturday night--

A team called Reach USA made up of underclass players from several southern colleges is touring China. They won a game to go 5-2 on their tour--

And Cornell won a game on their France tour to go to 1-1. Former Bradley recruit Ryan Wittman (see 1st post) lead Cornell in scoring again (25 points) as they beat a French club team Eveil Sportif D'Ormes 94-79.

A couple things about the New Mexico games.
Why do they have to wear those ugly practice-style jerseys?
And how in the heck can any D-I college team have 31 turnovers against a Bahamian club team?
The Lobos now have 53 turnovers in their two games (they had 22 in the first game).
Their 3-pt shooting is bad, too, and at 11-41 (26%) I think Steve Alford will be in for a long season in the Mountain West.

Here's one of the pitfalls of going on a preseason basketball tour in the Bahamas.
On one of the snorkeling cruises an accidental collapse of the mast on the ship injured a couple of the players.

A couple results from the last 2 days--

Cornell, on a tour playing club teams in France, beat Sapela Basket 13 on Tuesday night 98-91. They are now 2-1 on their tour.--

New Mexico continued their tour of the Bahamas by beating the Sunshine Auto Ruff Ryders 82-41 on Tuesday. --

Then on Wednesday, they defeated the Commonwealth Giants 75-51. They finished their tour 3-1.--

The Sunshine Auto Ruff Ryders?

Looks from the box score like they were also Ruff Shooters!
They didn't hit a single 3-pointer (0-11), and also shot poorly from the FT line (36%) and floor (32%).
New Mexico keeps launching bricks as well (4-24 from beyond the arc), and I guess one of the guarantees in this tour is that none of the New Mexico players are allowed to foul out no matter how many fouls they get, as some of their players had 6 or more fouls again for the third game in the Bahamas.
I wonder if playing opponents of this caliber actually helps or hurts?

Doesn't sound like they played very well, and the game was delayed for 45 minutes because the officials hadn't arrived.
I wonder if they just suited up a couple janitors to ref the game as very few calls went against the locals. Attendance was 66.
New Mexico's four game shooting from 3-point range was 23-91 (25%), with their point guard, senior Jamaal Smith going 2-19.
