Jamal Tatum gets invitation to Orlando predraft camp

Former SIU guard Jamaal Tatum has been invited to participate in the NBA Draft Camp that takes place in Orlando from May 29 to June 4.

The camp is reserved for elite NBA prospects, the majority of which are likely to be picked during the league's annual two-round draft that takes place on June 28.

Great news for a great player. I'm guessing the MVC bashers probably are dismissing this as some fluke because SIU made the Sweet 16 and got some extra press or something. I look forward to seeing Jamal's name called on draft night.

Some mock drafts have Tatum late 2nd round, while some sites do not project him to be picked. He is the type of player who probably needs a good showing at this camp to get drafted. This year's draft is deeper than the last couple.

Another MVC player has been invited to the Orlando predraft camp. Anthony Tolliver of Creighton is now listed as an invitee, along with Jamal Tatum.

All-MVC Seniors not invited include Nate Funk, Blake Ahearn, Grant Stout, Matt Webster, and kyle Wilson.
