[quote="mexicobufan"]I would love to put Warren in the starting five but his strength concerns me. If he could bulk up during the off season and get stronger he could be a major factor.[/quote

I agree. I think that the competition for minutes may be an incentive to push Warren to be a better player.

      I'll go with:

      Ruffin
      Crouch
      Wilson
      Austin
      Collins

I think Warren and Salley off the bench first will provide a great spark to the team. I could see Salley starting over Collins though too. Cole-Scott will be off the bench quickly too.

        Ruffin
        Crouch
        Warren
        Austin
        Collins

I wouldn't be suprised if Cole-Scott pushed for a starting spot either. If he's as good as advertised (i.e. Will Franklin), it will be hard to keep him off the court.

I think all of the different lineups tell us that despite the defections and subsequent replacements, we're still a very deep team.

Can we start calling him A-dub?
Please no with the A-dub... Why can't the current generation come up with better nicknames than just abbreviating the person's name? JC, A-Rod, etc. It is starting to make me sick to my stomach. What every happened to the creativity? What ever happened to nicknames like Shoeless Joe, Dizzy Dean, etc. etc.?

Sam has not been healthy and has tried to play at less than 100%

Let's see what he can do when he's healthy. I think he'll surprise some people, especially early in the season.
This should be the first, full healthy summer on the hilltop for SS. There is certaintly a good possibility for a large improvement to be made.

I have heard he's made big improvements so far, but with all of his injuries I am going to have to see it to believe it.

Umm well those are baseball nicknames...
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Sam showed some really good things before his first injury. He had great hands, good court vision and actually ran the court pretty well for a big guy. I really wish for the best for him.

                    Please no with the A-dub...
A-dub won't work for another reason. For those of us old enough to remember, there was another infamous former Bradley player who was nicknamed A-dub- Anthony Webster. He was a freshman who played a limited role with the 1981-1982 MVC regular season winner and NIT Championship team. Webster had the potemtial to be a good player, but he flunked out of school the next year, and later, when the NCAA went looking for dirt on Bradley, Webster became the source that ratted out BU for a couple minor violations that got BU put on probation after the 1986 season. Bad memories associated with the name A-dub.

Ruffin, warren, crouch, austin, collins; warren is the best option for the 2 guard.

Okay...no offense to anyone on this thread. I respect your opinions greatly AND maybe you can help me clear this up. But Why are so many people putting Austin at the Center position with so many of the starting five predictions. Sure, he is a very talented player and weighs 240, but doesn't he lack the height and reach of a center? I just don't think he would give any 6' 10'' or 7' center much trouble. I don't know...just something to think about.
Stronger, Faster, Better....than last year?...and do I dare say...The year before that!!???

Interesting discussion, but the starting spots will go to the kids that deserve them in November.
