Maybe he doesnt care about there lack of post season play or maybe he thinks he can help he get to the post season. I really dont think every time a recruit chooses another school he makes a stupid choice.
I agree 100%. Can we ever just wish a kid good luck instead of finding ways to put down the school where he's going?

I just re-read every post here, and I don't think anyone was putting Nick Freundt or Northwestern down. The only stuff posted about Northwestern are simply widely known facts.
Do you believe anyone goes to Northwestern with ideas of going deep into the NCAA tournament or having postseason success?
I wish Freundt the best. Most kids would pick Northwestern over Bradley. I hope someday Jim Les will change that.

This makes me wonder if my statement looked critical. I didn't mean it that way at all. I was just stating a logical reason he chose Northwestern. If my statement looks negative I didn't mean it that way. I would have liked to had him, but I wish him well. Unless he ever plays against BU.
I'm guessing here...but I don't think anyone was referring to your post. Your post was not negative at all.

How about the kid decided to stay close to home? That's usually lauded...

I hope the best for the kid and for NU as well...I think Carmody in company is overdue for a resurgance...I cheer for them up until BU meets them in the NCAA someday hopefully soon.

          I think NW'rn is a fine institution.

I think Nick made a great choice.

You never know... He could find himself on a squad that may finsih ahead of the 'flagship' in the B10 during his playing years.

I think everyone who plays college basketball aspires to make the NCAA Tournament and have success there, Northwestern or otherwise. Some places it might be more realistic than others, but nonetheless I think every player has those thoughts in their head.

I think Jim Les has changed the perception of BU both locally and nationally. Unfortunately it just didn't work out for us in this case. I would have loved to add Nick Freundt to our program.

It sounds like Freundt's reasons are much like those that Brandon Lee gave a couple yaers ago. Great academics and a chance to play Big 10 basketball.
NBorthwestern has a very nice recruiting class. Nick Freundt, Mike Capocci, and Michael Thompson were all recruited to some degree by Bradley, and John Shurna. They will fit Bill Carmody's slow style of play pretty well.

Does anyone know how to find a list of players who have gone to Northwestern then left before completing their eligibility there?

No but do you think that list will be any longer than BU's?

There was one kid that would be on both lists.

MM..why call someone a Moran just because they didn't list the kids name. You really are THE message board bully.
