  • Holy Buckets, Was That Dee Brown?

I was just spouting off and I just I saw Dee Brown hauled
down the hall on a stretcher. What happened?? WR

Dee Brown fell to the floor into a sitting position trying to take a charge and his teammate Mehmet Okur fell on top of his head causing him to flex his neck forward with extreme force. He was taken for Xrays. Hopefully it's just strained neck muscles and ligaments.

I was at the game and it was very much a freak accident. As he was being helped off the court the crowd gave a standing ovation which abruptly ended as soon as he cleared the court and the Warriors started shooting a free throw where the crowd started booing in the same breath.

Reports at the game was that he could not feel his hands. X-rays and CT came back negative and he was released that night. No word on when he will be returning to action.

Some other thoughts about the game...
It was surreal the ovation that Fisher got when he showed up in the 3rd quarter. That arena is the loudest I have ever been in. I'm not sure who is a bigger whiner though, Baron Davis or the Jazz fans that don't know the game. It seems like both think that there should be a foul everytime down the court.

GS got killed on the boards again, too bad POB hasn't shown he's ready to mix it up inside.

Hey BUBalum05, did you get the light blue shirt or were you in the upper bowl? The light blue shirts were different, looked really good on the plasma in HD. The one guy wearing a WE BELIEVE yellow GS shirt stuck out like a sore thumb in the lower bowl.

I felt bad for Dee Brown, he was playing well, and had just made two good defensive stops in a row on Baron Davis before falling underneath Okur.

Infortunately I was in the cheap seats. I couldn't justify $90 instead of $30 on a business trip for a game that I don't really care for either team. There were a few yellow shirts speckled around the place too but they didn't have much to cheer about down the stretch in OT. As intimidating as it is to see the sea of light blue, the noise in that place is ten times as intimidating.

I don't think it was a true sellout because there was more than a few open seats in both the upper and lower bowl.
