  • New Class of 2008 Rivals 150

Numerous guys made big jumps, including Draymond Green, Scott Suggs, Tyler Zeller, DeAndre Liggins, Emmanuel Negedu, and Iman Shumpert (from out of nowhere to #41 nationally).

Let me know if you cannot get this report, as I believe it is a free Rivals page.

So Daniel West as a Jr was the point guard on a top 25 high school team for the entire nation. Daniel by all accounts was the floor leader of the team that won the state championship and carried his team in a couple of the state play off games. But he is not rated as one of the top 150 players in the 2008 class? Could his commitment to a mid major have anything to do with him being left off this list? I am sure it didnt.

Your point is well-taken, and probably fairly accurate. However, I don't want him showing up on any of these top-150 lists. We all know how good this kid is, and the cat is pretty much out of the bag. But, I still want him as 'unnoticed' as possible until he has signed his LOI. Everyone knows these lists are more about where the kid is going to go to college more than how good the kid actually is.
      Onward and Upward!

good point. i don't think their are any mid-major recruits in the top 150. bcs bias.as soon they committ to mid-major their ranking is often lowered and never raised. just the opposite if they sign with a bcs team.

If you need any proof of this statement
"These national people who rank kids solely based upon how they play at national exposure events they attend are insane. They totally ignore the rest of the year. Scout and Rivals people change their rankings strictly to match the lists of schools recruiting the kid."
