Billy Baptist signs with Illinois-Chicago and Wendell Mardis with Alabama State according to an article this morning from Jucojunction--

Good for Billy, he gets a chance to play D-I,

And Mardis made believers out of many people, even though he was used as a BACKUP POINT GUARD by Tony Wysinger,
and did not play the minutes Wires played, especially with the starters on the floor.
Wysinger went with Jeff Wires as his starting PG, even though Mardis was clearly the better player, just look at the stats.
Mardis averaged 10.3 points, 48% on FG, 45% on 3-pt, 77% on FT, 2.0 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.3 spg
Wires averaged... 4.2 points, 40% on FG, 39% on 3-pt, 65% on FT, 1.7 rpg, 3.9 apg, 0.7 spg
Whenever I watched ICC, I enjoyed watching Wendel Mardis play.
