Hey everyone, My project this summer, along with some help from friends, is to put together a plan to organize our student section as far as cheers and such is concerned and help increase the student support on campus. The first thing we want to do is make sheets of chants for games. So If you guys think of chants you'd like to hear, or good one you've heard in the past, etc. PLEASE most them here. Please also keep them to things we could actually say in games.

I like the tomahawk chop but I do not think the University would let you use it as it has Indian written all over it and we would not want to lose our braves nickname because of it; I am an Atlanta Braves fan and when you are at Turner field it is really cool when 40000 fans are doing the chop; hope you are able to pick up some more student fans as you students are the ones that set the table for the rest of us.

I think it would be a good idea to get a little more organized, and get more support for the student section. Maybe you could come up with signs we could take to games or something. A few of us that sit in the very front row next to the opposing bench do some research against each team, in the NIT game we were giving a really hard time to a Providence guy that was from illinois and sitting on the bench. We got his attention quite a bit.Thinking is the hardest work, that is why so few people do it. -Henry Ford
Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.

Yeah the whole Idea is to organize the student section and start to make it more inclusive and a group, and to be honest, I want to expand on what the pep band and cheerleaders do.
I hope to come up with standard chants we can use every game, and the also the research on the the other teams that varies every games, especially big ones... i.e. MSU, SIU, CU, VCU etc. So to start of with if we could come up with standard chants to use (be original some too). I will start to compile a handout to pass out at games, with chants, instructions on how we'll do stuff, like organizing airball chants etc...

As one of the people who sits in the front row by the opposing bench, I think this would be a great idea. I sat down with Coach Les and Coach Vogt before last season and went over some ideas, if there was more interest, I'm sure I could talk to Coach and see if we could set up a time where he was free to meet with some students.Once A Brave ... Always A Brave

The best chant in the nation is rock chalk jayhawk . . . not because of what it says, but because of the cadence and tone.
Here's an idea: before every game, in an arena-wide, ghostly chant, invoke the spirits of Bradley. Our founder, of course, is Lydia. Her husband was Tobias.
How about, in the same tone as rock chlak, a long, drawn out, "Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii . . . . . . . . diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii . . . . . . . ahhhhhhhhhh. Tohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . . . . biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii . . . . . . . . aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas."
Something like that?
In deep voices, over and over. Would be freaky!!!!
