Tyson Schnitker, junior and a starter for the Sycamores has told coach Waltman he will not return for his senior year. He started in all 29 games for the Sycamores and averaged 10.7 ppg, second on the team to David Moss' 16.6 ppg. He would have been the leading returning scorer next year if he had rteturned, as Moss graduates.

What the???
He knew what he was in for when he went to Indiana State, and they actually didn't do all that bad for big parts of last year, so what is this all about?
He is in line for basically all the playing time he could want next year, and I have heard no rumors of internal problems with him.
Anyone know?

Rumor I heard is that he has become more aware that his skills are not sufficient to battle for playing time next year.
Despite playing 33 min per game, he just doesn't see himself playing as much next year and is likely to transfer to D-II Southern Indiana University where he will be eligible immediately.
Teammate Elliott Booe who did not play much is also leaving.

Former Indiana State player Tyson Schnitker, who would have been the leading returning scorer for the Sycamores, had quit the team and was planning on transferring. Now he will stay at Indiana State and get his degree, but not play basketball
He had planned to transfer to University of Southern Indiana for his senior year and play with former Butler player Nick Brooks, whom he had played with in high school. But apparently some of his credits would not transfer and he would have had to spend 2 more years there to graduate.
What does that say about Indiana State University and the credits he accumulated there? Apparently as many as 36 of his credit hours at InSU were no good at USI. I have never heard of this problem happening to a potential teansfer. USI isn't exactly Harvard, so what does that make InSU?
