Wichita got another recruit, Brett Burley, a 6'7" Canadian kid playing at a South Carolina prep school. He had agreed to a walk-on slot at Winthrop before coach Gregg Marshall took the WQichita State job. Now he will walk on at Wichita State instead--
Also, here is an article about new Wichita coach Gregg Marshall. He sounds like a winner.--

there's no doubt in my mind this coaching change was good for the program but i'm not sure how next season will play out.

My take (as unbiased as I can) on what I think of WSU thus far for next year....
I truely feel we will have a competitive team. Not top 3 competitive (I think that goes to SIU, you and someone else...CU or a darkhorse). After that I think WSU COULD end up anywhere from 4-7 and a possible NIT bid should we be around the 4th spot.
I think Marshall has shown (regardless if it was at Winthrop) that he can step in and get things going. He has shown he can maximize players' potentials immediately so I feel he could do the same with this group. He's signed some pretty decent players that should have an impact and isn't done yet. Plus, with PJ, Gal & Brauer back there is a decent nucleus. I also feel that Thomasson will fit in a little better under Marshall.
Obviously alot of speculation and just "gut" feeling, but at this point that is all I can go off of LOL.
Oh and the reason I say PJ is back...
Couisnard isn't counting on being selected in the two rounds of the June 28 draft. He did not hire an agent and can retain his college eligibility by withdrawing his name from the draft by June 18. Couisnard, according to mock NBA Drafts on the Internet, is a longshot to be one of the 60 players selected.
"Most likely, I'll pull it out before the June 18 deadline," he said Friday. "I want to see what opportunities there are with the draft."
Couisnard's name appeared on the list of early entrants released Thursday by the NBA, to the surprise of new Shocker coach Gregg Marshall. Couisnard said he had not mentioned his interest in the draft to Marshall because he assumed former coach Mark Turgeon passed on that information.
