Indiana's premium site has a new report on Peoria's DJ Richardson...and note what DJ says about Bradley!
Here are a few excerpts from the new article, and you can PM me if you want to know more, or check your e mails soon.
"April 30, 2007
If you're looking to recruit a guard, Peoria might be a good place to start. The northern Illinois city has produced in the past some of the nation's best backcourt players, with guys like Shaun Livingston and A.J. Guyton.
And it's looking like next on that list will be D.J. Richardson, a 2009 guard out of Peoria Central.
The 6-3 Richardson is thought by some to eventually be the top 2009 prospect in Illinois, and the list of schools recruiting him early certainly reinforces that sentiment. He says he has a slew of programs showing interest in him even at the young point of his recruitment: Illinois, Bradley, Baylor, Tennessee, Florida, Stanford, Clemson, Northwestern, Michigan State, Ohio State and Indiana.
And he even has a handful of early offers to go along with the interest.
"I've got Illinois, Indiana, Baylor and Bradley," he said.
"I've visited Illinois, and I've visited Bradley," he said. "They've got good campuses. I've visited DePaul too."
The same premium site also has a new article on 2009 guard Xavier Humphrey, from Plainfield, note what Humphrey says:
"Xavier Humphrey, a 6-3 guard out of Plainfield (Fenwick), is one of the names surfacing to the top.
Humphrey says he is getting a lot of early attention from schools all around the country: Wisconsin, California, Ohio State, Indiana, Illinois, Bradley, Michigan State, Northern Iowa, Purdue, Notre Dame, Stanford and Arizona."
