Don't know if it's worth much, but I have the first issue ever of Sports Illustrated. I purchased it at the newstand on Main and Jefferson and for some reason saved it. It has a foldout of baseball cards from that era. I know they reprinted that issue for their 50th anniversary.
Chico, that is worth some money especially if the baseball cards inside are in good shape.. If I remember correctly, the
cards were 1954 topps.
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
I have quite an extensive collection due to the fact the my best friend was nfl for 10 yrs and my other friend pitched for the A's, as well as me spending almost 3 years with the Kings but my favorite is 2 jerseys together both signed and put together in 1 frame. Magic and Bird.
Wasn't the NFL player Jason Seahorn? Who was the A's pitcher?

Just found something online that suggests it is worth $150 to $200 dollars if the fold out baseball card section is intact. The article says that many people recognized that this would be a collectors item even at the time it was released and have saved them, otherwise it would be worth a lot more.
This is so dumb it defies description. When I was a child (late 1940s) my grandmother gave me a baseball signed by the Yankees including Babe Ruth and Lou Gherig. I was so young I didn't know any better and played with it and ruined it.
"You're killing me Smalls" Quote from "The Sandlot"
What would really make your atutograph special would be if it was an autographed picture. She is a very attractive young lady with smarts and personality to boot. What a combination. I wonder what she is doing now? Does anyone know?
Alex Liberatore went to work after graduation for the company that makes and promotes
"AH", a drink that is said to have benefits in helping to prevent hangovers. As far as I know she is still there.
"AH" stands for "After Hours"
Supposedly this drink when consumed negates the hangover producing actions of whatever liquor you have drunk.
Alex has helped with their advertising and promotion and has been interviewed and quoted in the press.

Almost as dumb....................
I did the same thing Rads with a Bob Feller autographed baseball from like when I was 2 years old. Also had a box of baseball cards -- many Hank Aarons, Willie Mays, Bob Gibson, Mickey Mantle, etc, etc, . When I went to college I left them at home and my parents moved and they must have all been thrown out -- I found out later they were worth thousands Definitely my dumb@ss story
As for Bradley related, my favorite posessions are the two tickets I have from Detroit. Greatest weekend of my life.
God, it was a great time watching BU in Detroit wasn't it. The hotel we stayed at had several Kansas fans, as well as their "Sports Writer" for their school newspaper. Man, they walked around like zombies all weekend after BU bounced em from the tourney. Great Stuff.
