Does this mean RM's demand the SLU join the MVC be honored?

What an excellent conference if the MVC added SLU, but why stop there... add DePaul and Butler. Then 3 schools would have to be dropped. What 3?

For me it would ISU Blue, ISU Red, and UE. We'd never pry DePaul out of the Big East though.

Maybe we could just drop one current team....add SLU, DePaul, and Butler.....then call ourselves the Big Eleven. THEN....we might get 5-6 teams in every year.

I think you both missed the point.....we must have "BIG" and we must misrepresent the actual number of teams in the conference. Then we'll have a chance at getting even MORE bids than even deserve to be there!

You really think it would be prudent for the Valley to drop Illinois State? Wow. Is this a rivalry thing or are you really serious?

Danny, actually it's not a rivalry thing. Because of the rivalry I'd love to keep ISU (and in fact don't want to drop any team, I think the MVC is fine as-is)... but I believe ISU has been one of the weaker programs for a while now, and with what's transpired with Porter stands to be a weakened program for some time-- in my opinion. But I do want it to be clear, I'm not in favor of dropping anyone, and if I had to UE would be first and InSU would be second... I very much enjoy the IlSU rivalry, though lately SIU is the team I want to beat more and with them it's not exactly a friendly rivalry
