I think it was more of him saying it was a necessity than a demand. I'm not even sure Majerus would still be at SLU if/when the Billikens join the MVC.

What an excellent conference if the MVC added SLU, but why stop there... add DePaul and Butler. Then 3 schools would have to be dropped. What 3?

It also seems as though there has been quite the discussion regarding SLU to the Valley...as well as 1 other team...not sure whether it will be Butler or SIUE in the next couple years once SIUE goes D-I, BUT according to some, they believe that 12 teams and a bigger draw gives the Valley the opportunity to alter from being the "Missouri Valley Conference" to being just "The Valley Conference" or "The Valley 12" and becoming one step closer to a Major conference...or so I have heard

SLU must be ponying up a lot of $$$$$ to get Majerus to commit to coaching again. But, I would be very cautious that he will decide to re-retire when the pressure cooker starts to heat up again.

Maybe we could just drop one current team....add SLU, DePaul, and Butler.....then call ourselves the Big Eleven. THEN....we might get 5-6 teams in every year.

Majerus coaching again is not good I for one do not want to be a witness to a coach dying of a massive heart attack while arguing with a ref during a game

I'm pretty sure they have a great food court at SLU... thats best reason I can think of why BIG RICK would want to go there
