Just wanted to say congrats on a GREAT season. Those kids fought there asses off and lost to a very, very good Memphis squad. There is no shame in that.

You guys had a great team and you made the Valley proud and you represented the Valley with class. My hat's off to your program.

Here's to future great battles between the Braves and Redbirds in the Valley. Keep your heads up!!!! We'll see you in '07.


PS. So long to Sommerville, Bennett, Wright. 3 very good players who this Redbird fan won't miss.

You fought hard, and defended the valley name. You all should be extremely proud of yourselves. We are all very envious of your success in the tourny and what you did to make history. Memphis is a tough bunch of guys, and you fought hard.

As a Memphis fan, I'll also add - Be Proud. That was one great basketball game. The Braves may be the quickest overall team we played. Be proud Braves and be proud Valley.

Let me put some perspective on the season. At the end of the season BU was still playing with Duke, Texas, UConn. BU played past every B10 school, KU, UNC and too many other "big names" to remember right now.

One thing I really loved about BU's season. When BU got into the NCAA with a 13 seed lots of BCS fans were screaming "BU doesn't belong". After BU took out KU and Pitt, those same people were screaming "BU wasn't a 13 - they should have been a 7 and we should never have played them early in the tournament".

333 out of 334 teams end their season with a meaningful loss. 318 teams ended with either an insignificant loss or a worse loss than BU had to end their season.
