  • now a top-30ish class?

What does the Austin signing do to the recruiting class rating nationally? Another top-100 HS player must move us up a notch or two.

Austin is a 3-Star, so his addition replaces the 3-Stars we had lost from Buycks' decommitment, thus
Bradley's recruiting class stays a solid Top 30.
The loss of Fears has no effect as he was not considered a 2007 recruit, he got here in 2006.

I'd say it's close, but probably not in the 'experts' eyes. Losing Buycks but adding Austin is probably a wash at best according to the pundits, since Austin wasn't listed in any of the national JUCO rankings and Buycks is a heard-of commodity.

Perhaps some of Austin's people in California will be in contact with Buycks while out in California.

I agree T! This will go down as the best recruiting class since Coach V's early 80's nationally rated class. This class will set the foundation for a decade or more of prominence on The Hilltop and also enable an even better class to be recruited within five years (just as it nearly/arguably did for Versace)

        Congratulations Les and staff!!!

I talked with a player that said Buckys was a problem from the start. It is probably better for the community and Bradley bball that he ended up changing his mind. This player said that he didnt mix well with the team and although really an outstanding player, the presence of Austin is a great addition
