We now know the identity of all four possible recruits to take the spot vacated by Fears. All four have excellent credentials, just curious which guy the people on Bradleyfans would like to see in red & white next year.
Not sure why but I'm leaning toward Wilson.[/quote]
My personality and mental capacity has occasionally
been favorably compared (often by by my boss) to
Dennis The Menace. I have to go with
O&B74 and cast my ballot for Mr Wilson.
Besides that for some reason I picture him kind of
like Cellus Sommerville.. Wing 81

Hey WR81 I'm the one who said that not O&B. I think that Wilson has good numbers in one of the most consistently tough Juco conferences around & I'm hoping he'll wanna be a Brave after his visit this weekend
Who are the four possible recruits again besides Coley?....I must not be keeping up enough
See the poll above - Theron Wilson, Charlie Coley, Wade Knapp & Andre Gilbert are the four names that have been in the paper as of today & on this board the last couple of weeks.
Darn, I forgot to include the "& why?" question as to everyone's poll choices. I'm curious to know why you guys are choosing one recruit over another, unless of course you want to remain anonymous.
Anyone else think the next recruit may be as surprising as DC was to a lot of us, the more I think about it, the more I think our next signee maybe someone we haven't talked about. JL kept the last two guys under wraps pretty well, who's to say it won't happen again?
Of those guys I would prefer Theron or Coley but would not be disappointed with WK at all.
From what I've read I'd really like to see Wade Knapp in the mix! If we would have had a body like his in the SIU game in St. Louis the ending tip in might never had happened!
PS> I can certainly see Coley as a great addition and worth a scholarship and Wilson as a last ditch effort but beyond that if we don't get Knapp or Coley I'd only offer a Walk On to Wilson or Gilbert and hold that last scholarship for a possible transfer or wait til the fall and get a high schooler! Juco kids can really help a program but HS kids are the fundamental foundation of most strong programs. I'd like to think that BU has a vision of moving away from the Juco path or possibly reserving the 11-12 spots for them!

Your Nuts. Theron was being pursued by High majors he's not going to walk on here. If Wilson ends here he will be a contributor. A large part of MVC basketball is JUCO's there players with great talent that other schools look down there noses at. Where would BU be without Marcellus, ZA, LW, MS? BU is not 'better than JUCO's' the fact that we utilize them gives us a competitive advantage over bigger schools that is hard to come by elsewhere. BU is decades away from having Budget or Prestige of some Big Schools and the fact that JL can tak a JUCO player who was thought of as a backup plan at other schools and get him on the cover of SI shows that they are vital, I think a healthy mix of Freshman AND JUCO is the way to go.
My bad. I was trying out the "quote" gidgey for the first
time and you were my first victim. After reviewing
Theron Wilson's picture, it's going to take a lot of work in
the weightroom to fill up Cellus's shadowbox. LOL But his
Juco numbers are in fact Cellus-ian. Is that a word in the
dictionary? ?? Ahh,, yes there it is right before
ChetWalkeristic (chet'walk er iz tik) noun. Wing81

OK, I am not an English major but I don't think ChetWalkeristic is a noun....
If you want to watch a team full of average JUCOs get season tickets to ICC! I don't believe the young men JL is courting in this 11th hour quite measure up to ZA, LW, and MS! I think we have a stable full of young players with talent and character to fill out the regulation 200 minutes! If we can get a Coley or Knapp do it otherwise - save the scholarship for another day!
