Re: Porter Moser a candidate for Texas A&M CC job

"... eight to 10 (as of late Tuesday afternoon) head coaches who have coached or are coaching at the Division I level. Half of those have taken teams to the NCAA Tournament. That???‚¬?„?s the pool I???‚¬?„?ve had already, and I expect more..."
and the AD at TAMCC is an Illinois State graduate, thus the connection....although it sounds like he doesn't have the credentials some of the other applicants have.

Porter Moser made DID NOT make the next cut at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.....
........if you read this article, it sounds a little like the competition on "American Idol" where Texas A&M - Corpus Christi is eliminating candidates very gradually and one at a time.
"A&M-Corpus Christi associate head coach Andy Helton, former University of Houston head coach Alvin Brooks, Notre Dame assistant Gene Cross (ex-DePaul assistant) and former Illinois State coach Porter Moser were among the final eight........"
BUT..... Porter got CUT!! (maybe looks too much like Sanjaya )
"Moser no longer is under consideration for the position, as he is likely to take a job as an assistant on another staff."
By the way.........it has been revealed where Porter will work next year, and I find it odd that there's absolutely no discussion of this on other boards...not even the Redbird board.
"(Rick) Majerus, in case he does take the job, has been talking to candidates for his staff and would be expected to hire Porter Moser, who was fired this year after four seasons as head coach at Illinois State"

Not quite so quick.......
The post you cite mentions only the St. Louis article, but.......
Indeed exactly as was predicted...the first link I provided about Porter no longer being in consideration at TAMCC,
was NOT previously found anywhere on RedbirdFan, and broke here before anywhere in Redbird fan-dom,
but sure enough......
That article and link was HERE at 10:37AM, then
Just 15 minutes after I posted it here, it DID show up on Redbirdfan.com......
(at 10:52AM)
So my bubble is NOT burst and I am not going to concede anything, since your ISU board does indeed follow closely behind us on many topics, and if you need more proof, just let me know.
But that's all OK guys.....you're fully welcome here and free to use whatever info you find.

Don't be so quick to pat yourself on the back. Let's start from the beginning!
Da Coach started THIS thread stating that he had a Porter Moser update:

That is when I corrected you to say it had been reported on RBF.com under the post SLU and Porter on Thurs, April 26, 2007 at 2:51 AM.
Last time I checked, Thursday still comes before Friday.
Your post alluded to the fact that you revealed Porter's next destination, and there was no discussion of it on otherboards, or RBF.com. It's nice to go back AFTER the fact and try to reiterate your position, but unless you go back and edit the post....it reads how it reads!

REALbird...
cpacmel's REPOST of the exact link I used, was on FRIDAY...not Thursday...so I have no idea what you are talking about.
I posted the link to this site:
and 15 minutes LATER, not the day before...it was reposted on your site, just as one of our posters had predicted:
Guys...we have no issue if you want to take posts and links from here and use them on your boards.
We have prided ourselves here at BradleyFans as having lots of stuff up on this board before it is found elsewhere, and lots of our readers tell us so.
On a daily basis, several of our posts are almost immediately reproduced on another commonly frequented Central IL board, and we don't complain....but we'd like if someone takes stuff off the board and reposts elsewhere, it would be nice if they cites us or gave us credit...but it generally doesn't happen that way.

Like I said, you can have all the credit in the world for posting that Porter Moser was CUT as you put it from the TAM-CC job. But that link you posted was about as vague as one article can be......"He's likely to take a job as an assistant at another school." Well it's likely I'm going to change jobs again at some point in the future as well, so if you want to be the FIRST to report that then be my guest.
I repeat....you DID NOT post that Porter was going to be an assistant at SLU before anyone on RBF.com. Your link and your thread did not appear until Friday, whereas the "Porter and SLU" thread on RBF.com appeared on Thursday on RBF.com.
