I guess we could specualte on a wide variety of what it could be...guess its best to just sit back and wait to hear anything official.
Yea it'd be best, but, honestly, DRU, you know the inquiring and speculating minds we have here at BF. Plus, fanatic fans who are high on Kool-Aid, such as myself, don't want to see the sugar high dissapate.
Ignore UNM and use any school other than Bradley and Tornado would be all over it.
It's one of the reason I don't say too much when players at other schools are leaving (except ISU). It's happened too much at Bradley and it will probably happen again.
Not so, boogie.....the only times I have mentioned players leaving other teams is when it is ALREADY BEING POSTED on other message boards.
Are you suggesting I just come up with speculative rumors of oponents' players out of thin air?
Nope, the talk of other players leaving is when it's been established elsewhere.
Here are the exact quotes from my last such post:
... it is revealed on the Iowa State premium boards
...the messge board at the Des Moines Register also has thread by people saying they know he is leaving.
The site manager at one of the premium Iowa State basketball/recruiting site also confirms Dodie is gone
You see...all I am doing is reporting what's being said by those who know on their own boards.
This is a bit different than speculating what you think about something that's NOT being reported anywhere....and you know full well there is NO reported news of JF leaving as we speak.
i think unless jl pulls off a recruiting masterpiece in place of jf, we wont live up to hardly any expactations next year
i know we're deep and will still be good but think of this
our 3 possibly best recruits are gone (maybe)
fears
buycks
williams
ya we might be good next year, but what we might have been....
Missing Buycks is not going to play any factor on next years team. Even if he might have got some minutes he is not someone that was going to come here and start. I would say the same goes for Williams a great athlete who I would love to see play at BU but probably not going to start and we are plenty deep at the 3/4 without him. Losing Fears would be a big blow, everything ive heard says he has alot of talent but if the situation is not right for the coaches or him then better he leave before problems happen during the season. I will still expect great things next year from a team that has
Thanks for posting that BUBraves06. It now clears the matter up. I have not seen anyone here who feel the season is "lost".
As I heard yesterday, and as many of our regular fans who I have communicated with by PM also knew, both of these stories reported here were, in fact, not rumor, but reality.
The staff has tried to tolerate issues with Jeremy Fears for a long while, but it became clear that he was not a fit for this team. I am sure Bradley fans wish him the best, but there is no doubt this team will be better off to move on with the personnel who want to be at Bradley and play for Jim Les.
I do not see this as a big loss. JF is not the kind of player who cannot be replaced, and in fact, with the guards and small forwards we have, this is Bradley's strongest area.
Let's hope Jeremy Crouch makes a full recovery, as I am sure he will with the outstanding medical staff Bradley has.
I have learned that JC's injury was more severe than most dislocations, and the only way to insure a full recovery and a healthy season next year was to repair the damage.
I think this loss of Fears is a bigger loss than most of you guys are making it out to be. Talking to a few guys on the team, I have heard that we could have been the best player on this years team if he was able to play.
Fears is probably not a superstar, but I think he will be missed with both his offense and defense. Most people believed he was one of the "for sure starters " for next years team along with crouch and ruffin and the rest was up in the air.
Who's left to replace him:
DeAarron Williams - rumored not going to qualify and I dont believe he is as strong, quick, or as good as a defensive player as Fears is
Andrew Warren - looks like he could be a good one here at the Hilltop, but could i see him more of being a real threat his junior and senior season. He will makes some strides, but next years team looked like a lock for the tourny
Ray Brown - still unproven ... i wouldn't even be surprised to see him suspended again (PM me if you want more info)
Cole-Scott - no one has really seen him play, unproven at the DI level... could be another will franklin surprise but who knows
Sam M - freshman, looks like he could be a stud but we can;t expect huge things from a first year kid
it sounds like we are deep in this postion but really we have a bunch of unproven guys who COULD replace fears but I just believe fears is the best one out of this bunch
Talent-wise, this definately will hurt, but if the guy didn't want to be here, then I say best of luck to him and move on. Ya, he could have helped this team next year, but but we're better off with players who want to wear the BU uniform.
ok first lemme say that if this is family/personal related like reported in the article on bubraves.com then i wish him well....
but from what was speculated on here it sounds like he had a bad attitude and couldnt get along with coach les. if this is the case then why are we wishing him well? he's turning his back on a team that was counting on him for next year, and recruited as if we were going to have him for the next two years, yes we are guard heavy but it seems we've recruited more the 6 foot pg type. i guess i really hold grudges but why are we wishing him well after this stunt? once again disreguard that last part if this is infact due to family problems.
COMMIT TO THE INDIAN!!! - denis savard on his blackhawks, but we should adapt this as a bradley slogan.
