  • "Guys declaring for the draft who shouldn't" post

Ok, every year there are guys who say they are leaving school and declaring for the draft.
From Ben Coupet to Randolph Morris...some make incredibly bad decisions.

    Let's start this thread with...

Shaun Pruitt......the 11 point per game F/C from Illinois has just declared he is entering the NBA draft.
Let me guess....Jamar Smith and Brian Randle are next....

He won't get drafted. If he thinks he can have even remotely the same succes as Powell, Brown, and Augustine have had, which is hardly any, I don't know what is wrong with him.
Thinking is the hardest work, that is why so few people do it. -Henry Ford

Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.

Sometimes these guys just do it to get there name out there and to see what they need to work on. SP probably has no dreams of getting drafted. Its a smart move on his part....

Agree, I believe Pruitt is just testing the waters to see where he stands and what teams are looking for skillwise. He didn't hire an agent, so it seems to me like Pruitt doesn't see himself getting drafted. Smart move by him and good luck.
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

There are a few players that i feel either should not declare or are only testing the water. My feelings on this are as follows.

            Pruitt enough said

Cook from OSU Could be the leading scorer in the B10 if he returns

McRoberts from Duke waited to long. He would have been a higher pick last year.

Here's one to add to the list.
A fairly obscure Australian guy presently playing at Baylor wants to declare for the draft.
Aaron Bruce, a junior, was 4th on his Baylor Bears' team with 11 ppg.

This was announced last week, but 2 of the star players for Nevada have announced they will put their names into the NBA draft. They do not plan to hire agents, and will likely return to school, I suspect. I wonder how this might affect Wade Knapp's decision--

                another news release-
2 Gonzaga players will not return to school. They are not entering the NBA draft.--
