I think the player I'm most looking forward to seeing play is Ray Brown. He was very highly touted out of high school, and then rarely saw the floor his freshman year. His problems last year kept him off the floor altogether, yet he was able to practice with the team. I think Ray will have a lot of pressure to perform, and I'm anxious to see if he can live up to the expectations.
RB is like a Juco recruit that knows the system having TWO years of practice. Thins happen for a reason and this could be a positive for us/him. While it hurt having RB miss basically two years the team seemed to cope well without him. He has a chance to make lemonade out of lemons.....

Great, great point Dogs! Both RB and JF have the potential to be huge next year. Everyone always gets excited when new heralded Jucos come into a program, but the reality is that it usually takes them most of one (if not two) seasons to learn a new system and get acclimated to a faster, stronger, more athletic and disciplined style of play.

Both RB and JF could be considered as two stud Jucos who are already "practiced-up" (my southernism for the day) and ready to roll. I think these two will have the biggest impact next year and I would expect to be our leading scorers at around 15 points each per game.

In fact, I see RB, JF, DR, and JC as being in the 12-15 points per game range. How's that for balance?!

not the player i'm most excited to see out on the floor but i am really curious about tryone cole-scott. he's pretty short but there has to be some reason we got him. he was a definite leader on his juco team and can shoot and handle the ball well. his free throw percentage scares me at like 59% but i'd like to see what he can bring. it seems he's in the shadow of all the other new guys.

Honestly I think JF, DR, and JC in the 13-17 pt range is reasonable. I the RB will def. be a contributor but i expect more like 11-12 pts from him, then another 18-20 between MS and DC, with AW chipping in 8 (yeah, thats 70 pts per game right there). I also hope to see Sam M get about 10 minutes a game. It's only a matter of time before he is the leader of the team. I'd rather he go through his learning 'hiccups' while Ruff is around.

this seems very interesting. i agree that those players have the cababilities of scoring in that range but what's gonna happen to Salley, Warren, Collins, Cole-Scott, Singh, Williams (or whoever), and the freshmen? i'm curious to see how the scoring all works out.

I know. I'm just sitting here giggling like a school girl and shaking my head thinking about it

It should be quite a season

The reason we brought him in is to provide a transition point guard from Daniel Ruffin to Sam Maniscalco. Next year Cole-Scott will be at the point, and then Maniscalco will man the point his junior-senior year.
This is just the tip of the iceberg...

I also think AT will flourish under this coaching staff .....after watching his game it was evident that the 6'7 kid was to get the ball....so AT had to work for anything...remember he is a legit 6'10 and under RW in the workout program and some work on the hardwood...AT will be a good player for the Braves!

i thought fears was supposed to be the point guard of the junior class. it would be a little awkward to have a 5'11" shooting guard but i think fears is the true point guard in two years making cole-scott play on the wing. this being said, i don't know what role cole-scott will play. if he could jump into a will franklin type role next year, i'd be really happy. franklin shot the ball very well from the outside and helped bring the ball up too. i think cole-scott can be effective in times where we need to hold onto the ball and not commit turnovers with big men out on the court.

What these "extra" little guys do is allow Coach Les to insert totally different, small & quick line-ups that can change the flow of the game. This is important in games where the "bigs" or starters are flat and the team needs a spark.

We have so many unique parts on this team for the next few years that it is really scary.

From what I've heard Fears will play the 2. He is 6'4" so he'll have the ability to drive, stay outside, and even post up. Remember 6'4" is tall for the valley. While his natural position is point guard, and he did "win" the duel vs. Rajon Rondo, look for Fears to play the 2, where he can utilize more of his weapons.

Yeah... I think i might wanna go ahead and say Fears won't play the 1 or 2.... at least with Bradley anyways

I have to admit I am not as excited as I was a couple days ago about seeing Fears play, I have a feeling he will be that much of a help to the team!!!!!!! I change my choice to Collins, if the Coaches can get their hands on him early this summer he could be a big help next year. I also think Sam will play more than most think and will help win a few games.......
