I had not been on Wills myspace in a while, he now has the cover of Sports Illustrated on there with MS holding up his jersey after the NCAA win.....good to see him getting into the Bradley spirit........

I've been intrigued by Egolf for awhile now and am most looking forward to seeing him get some nice playing time as a freshman. But really.....how can we be expected to pick just ONE of these new players? WOW.....what time do the doors open at the Fieldhouse?
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I think (know) Ray Brown will win back a few fans this year... I think he (and Fears) has the ability to take over a game when needed. That's something we haven't seen out of a BU player in a while, IMO.

Am I the only one worried AW might get lost in the mix with all these guys coming in next year? I think he's got the talent to be a very good player, but will he get enough minutes? Heck, will everyone get enough minutes?

The cream always rises to the top. The minutes will go to the guys who earn them in practice and who show that they are leaders and work the hardest. Last year when AW was a new recruit there was a friend of his that posted regularly on this board who kept reminding us what a special player and hard worker he was. Well I think he came in last year and showed us that his friend was right. So, I can't see anyone outworking AW, making him the least of my worries.

If were talking only about the new guys, I can't wait to see the new assistant coach on the sidelines - ha ha!

I duno if I'm more excited about an individual player or to see how this team with all it's new players comes together. Obviously the talent is there but I think a big part of next year's possible success is how the guys learn to play to eachother's strengths.

I think the player I'm most looking forward to seeing play is Ray Brown. He was very highly touted out of high school, and then rarely saw the floor his freshman year. His problems last year kept him off the floor altogether, yet he was able to practice with the team. I think Ray will have a lot of pressure to perform, and I'm anxious to see if he can live up to the expectations.

I am looking forward to seeing either Lavin or Phillips (or both)....

....because it will mean a good chance we are blowing out the opponent.

I was expecting some pithy answer for the second part of your thought (post ...), but I ended up agreeing whole-heartedly.

RB is like a Juco recruit that knows the system having TWO years of practice. Thins happen for a reason and this could be a positive for us/him. While it hurt having RB miss basically two years the team seemed to cope well without him. He has a chance to make lemonade out of lemons.....

Agreed. Let's hope the lemonade tastes sweet.....

Expectations are high for next year. With Ruff and JC returning for their senior seasons, we need RB and JF to be ready to contribute from the opening tip of the first game.

                          My early predictions:
                          JF - NOY
                          RB - Most Improved

The guy I really am looking forward to seeing is Williams. Why this is, I hope he sees that he is now considered an underdog so to speak. He isnt going to make it, etc because of grades, attitude, not a team guy. Also, he was a top tier recruit didnt make it at Wisconsin and now many will think because of all his travels and termoil he wont be successful.

I hope he makes it to BU, looks in the mirror and understands that he must become a leader, a man that this team will look too for energy and passion. I hope he sees his enormous opportunity that lays ahead of him and seizes the opportunity and becomes a leader of this program.

We will be successful with or without him but with him I beleive BU will see the highest limits of success.

But the choice is his to make and decide how he wants to be remembered in Peoria for years to come.

There is a lot to look forward to next year.

                              1. Ruff and JC as seniors....... I look for them to have big senior seasons.

                              2. Jeremy Fears......... Very good chance at being newcomer of the year. We have so many options though, his numbers may take a hit VS. somebody on a poor team who has the "green light"

                              3. Ray Brown......... Hopefully he's chomping at the bit to play, and should be a very hungry player with something to prove.

                              4. David Collins......... I don't know if he'd ever be a dominant big, but should at least create match-up problems and should make others on the floor more effective.

                              5. S Maniscalco........ Don't know what to expect of him next year, but should be a solid Point Guard for BU for the post Ruff era.

                              6. DeAaron Williams...... I know DeAaron and he is a good guy, and I hope he gets his work done this summer and is a part of BU basketball next year. D-Will would be the most athletic player on the roster next year and would be very exciting to watch.

                              7. Warren, Salley, and Singh............Sounds like a law firm. I look forward to seing them progress and get better next year.

Now, the one guy who intrigues me the most is Will Egolf. I don't know how much of this we'll see next year, but I think he could become a nightmare match-up for other teams in the Valley. At 6'9" he could be the kind of guy that could post up a smaller wing player or keep a big defender away from the basket with his ability to shoot the ball. This is the kind of player who could stretch the defense, and really make the offense potent.

Another exciting thing is we all may have to edit our posts because BU is still recruiting for next year. Let's hope we get another promising player. JL is on the prowl!

Can't wait till next year, and I second the Midnight Madness push.

JL's biggest challenge next year we br to "sell roles". I think it helped also with JF and RB on the bench and seeing first hand what ball distribution and unselfish play will do for a TEAM.

I wish this team had one of those preseason trips to jell but again thank goodness RB and JF were allowed to practice.
