  • AAU Teams

Can anyone help me with the AAU teams for some of the kids BU is recruiting ? I live in Houston and the Kingwood Classic has a bunch of AAU teams from the Midwest (as well as everywhere else) and I wanted to try to see some of them if possible (It is supposed to be 80 and sunny in Houston so my wife thinks I am insane for thinking about heading to a basketball game but ???) .

As far as I know these are the teams of interest:

Martin Brothers -Tyler Storm & LA Pomlee
Mean Streets-Matt Humphrey (I know we have very little chance with him)
    Indiana Elite-Jordan Prosser & Matt Roth (?)
    Arizona Magic-Hersey Hawkins kid
    St Louis Eagles-Scott Suggs

Unfortunately Illinois Wolves, Ill Stars, Michigan Mustangs, Ill Fire are not listed as participating.

But Illinois Elite is coming-Are we recruiting anyone on that team ?

houstonbrave, the Indiana Elite sent two teams to the last tourney with Matt Roth playing on the "B" team that was termed the "Indiana Elite/Simpson" while their "A" team was
"Indiana Elite/Team Indiana" and Prosser was playing on 16U while Roth was 17U.

I see by the web site that only one 17U Indiana Elite team is in the Kingwood Classic and they don't have a 16U

LA Pomlee is playing on the West Coast, here are a few words about him...........

" L.A. Pomlee is up to 230 pounds and said that Iowa, Bradley and Wisconsin are the three schools that have shown the most love. He said that Oklahoma inquired earlier in the week. ???‚¬?¦he is playing well..........

DJ Richadrson, playing for the 16U Illinois Stars also had a great game

Shumpert continues to play very well and getting more writeups.

In Saturday's action at the King James Classic, the Indiana Elite got bounced right out of the tourney, playing without Tyler Zellar, Lewis Jackson, and Matt Roth.
No word on why they weren't playing.
Also Draymond Green getting lots of press for his stellar play.

I was in Dallas the last few days for work and Eric Buescher came back with us today to Peoria- said he was out watching AAU teams and kids....

Coaching today is way different and much more involved than in the 80's when I was around college basketball!

          Go Braves.. Welcome Theron!
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Matt Roth's Indiana Elite AAU teammate Emmanuel Negedu, rated #29 in the Class of 2008, has reportedly verbally committed to Arizona.
He cannot sign a LOI until next fall.

Also-- Hales Fraciscan's Stan Simpson is also blowing up already this summer.
At 6-9 and playing well, he is getting a few other offers.
In particular, Indiana just offered his a scholarship this weekend.
BU was in on him early, but he no longer lists BU in his choices.

I found a report on LA Pomlee this morning saying that Bradley is very much after him, and he is playing well.

Also Jordan Prosser is playing well, and no mention of Matt Roth, so maybe he's taking the weekend off?

And another report that Scott Suggs, who is playing well, now has 18 offers.
