Golden State had a 40 point lead going into the 4th qrtr and POB does not see the floor? You have a first round draft pick that needs playing time and you cant get him in a game like this? I dont understand why any coach would do something this far out there?

They will learn sooner or later, as the scrubs they had in the game for the 4th quarter got outscored by Minnesota's bench warmers 42-15!

Not sure how much more this washed up old has-been of a coach needs to see before jettisoning some of those worn out players and playing POB.

Golden State now holds a one game lead for the final playoff spot with only 2 games left.

Well I agree POB should be playing when GS is that poor of a team, especially on blowout games. That being said I think Nelson has been one of the most succesfull coaches in the NBA. He always seemed to do well with the talent he has. He must have specific traits he is looking for that he thinks Pat is not displaying. He could be past his time and not know what he's doing, but I doubt it. I think maybe Patrick will eventually end up somewhere else and get a chance. But it is clear this isn't a good match for him.

Having lived in the Dallas Area for 24 years now I was privvy to the Nelson era with the MAVS. He is a great coach and his style of play is fun to watch and I assume fun to be a part of... however he has always had and always will have one major flaw in his coaching repertoire. He has no patience with young players. Give him a bunch of seasoned players and he'll run you ragged but let a rookie travel once and he won't see the floor for the next 5 games. Also, I believe, the fact that he was a very good BIG in the NBA during his playing days makes him even tougher on young big men. I thought at the time that this was a bad deal for POB. (Nelson's signing) It has proven to be just that. Hope he gets a chance next year to prove to Don that he can be "trusted" even if its just a few minutes a game.

I know. People keep trying to make a point of whether OB was ready for the NBA or not. Just give it up. WE ALL KNOW OB WAS NOT READY! The fact of the matter, OB was smart enough to know his opportunity for a lot of money at the time. Now let it die.

I doubt O'Bryant was on the 12-man active roster. I think Golden State played 12 in the game, so chances are he was inactive. You can argue he shouldn't have been, but Nelson couldn't have stuck him in, no matter what the score was, after that decision was made.

It's also possible that this is going to be their playoff roster and POB is not on it

Chico - your opinion is fine... but it isn't a matter of fact. The fact is, OB left for the money (not because he was ready to play in the NBA). So throwing in your opinion every time OB's name comes up is not relevant.

So please... throw in your opinion, at least as long as you understand the fact of the matter.
