Bob Huggins has hired a new assistant.
Kevin Schappel is being hired at West Virginia as a "graduate assistant" coach.
Let's just check on what Kevin Chappel's qualifications are..
--he just finished his career as a player at Northern Kentucky University (Division II). He was a fine player, but wasn't a superstar and has no plans or opportunities to play professionally.
--he has never played nor been involved in any way at the Division I level
--he has never coached basketball anywhere at any level
--so is he a relative of some 5-STAR recruit that Huggins is after??
No------he isn't even a relative of Bob Huggins, although he's close to being one.
Kevin Schappell is the live-in boyfriend of Bob Huggins' daughter, and he doesn't presently have a job, so Bob is giving him one.
