Just curious - Has anyone from here sought out the New Mexico State board to go over there & rub their nose in the fact that we won out on Austin?
My guess is probably not!! That shows where the BU fans differ.
Excellent point....the funny thing is I never even THOUGHT about it!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
That's the problem. Thanks for the clarification. The results are the same, though. Bradley's average scores are well above those for incoming students at UNCC.
My catalog was a couple years old, too.
Coach and others-- As someone who lives in NC I can say unequivocally that UNCC does not rate very highly both academically and athletically.
You all have fantastically and accurately stated facts that support this argument. As someone who has clients who send their kids to college I can tell you that UNCC is not that highly thought of. In fact, they rank behind at least 5 other sate universities. That's why I compared them to EIU, NIU, and UIC (Chicago) in Illinois. Athletically, they are not even an afterthought. They rank well behind UNC, Duke, Wake, and State. I'll even bet that their basketball attendance ranks below ours (even though they have 4 times as many students and are in a town and metro area of 1 million people plus.
That site (blingyblob.com) provides html codes to allow imbedding those counters onto sites like Myspace, and facebook. And I'm sure it's probably easy to put one up on the index page here on Bradleyfans, but I haven't figured it out yet.
One guy on Valley talk described Coley as a gifted athlete with a 40" vertical.....50% freethrow shooter with limited range. Not a real polished player but can make plays (O and D) around the basket. Would have been a good get for any MVC team.
Can you say Zach Andrews?
What I'm saying is (and It probably sounds like sour grapes) that MAYBE we built this guy up to be more than he really is. I'm sure he's a good one (just as Zach was) but it sounds like RA is a bit more skilled and polished with less athleticism.
Here is one for those who focus too much on stats--
Andy Buechert is a 6'9" center from Talahassee Community College. There is a new premium article on Jucojunction today. He had verballed last fall to UMass, but never signed. Today he signed with Winthrop, but also had offers from Miami (FL), UCF, Cleveland St., Mercer, Belmont, Murray State, as well as UMass.
Here are his season stats-- 6.9 ppg and 3.4 rpg. And this was at a juco that doesn't play at the highest level of competetion. If you judged him just by those modest stats, he wouldn't get much division 1 interest.
