      And Calhoun at #2 overall?
      Come on, we can all see now how he does when he fails to recruit 10 McDonald All Americans.
      He only has 5 or 6 on his roster this year and he went 17-14, 6-10 in conference, even while playing a #176 SOS, and having 20 HOME GAMES!!
      By the way, UConn was 2-9 away from their home court!
      I can't imagine giving a coach as much talent as he had, as still ranking him 2nd best coach in the nation, when he can't win a road game anywhere!
      They even lost on the road at Rutgers (RPI 215).

      By the way, their record in 2007 was 6-14!

        SIU is getting some better recruits. Even if Lowery leaves, the cupboard won't be bare for the next coach. I don't know how SIU has been able to get decent recruits there that buy into the redshirting system. Usually the only guys that redshirt are 'projects'.

        There's a good reason that SIU stepped up to the plate with the new salary package.
