Paula Buescher has a nice recruiting class coming in for next season with the following recruits--
Caitlin Deeken
Raisa Taylor
Sonya Harris
and redshirt transfer Monica Rogers
But she has landed another quality recruit.
Sophomore guard Aseer Itiavkase, a Paducah native, signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play ball for Bradley University in Peoria next fall. Itiavkase was Great Rivers All-Conference last year and All-Region 24 in 2006. She missed the majority of this most recent season, however, due to an injured right knee.
Itiavkase still managed to earn All-Region 24 Tournament honors in 2007 while performing at less than full speed. When healthy last year, the 5-foot-8 jumping jack was among the nation's best in steals. This year, she averaged 12 points and four thefts per game.
