Dwight Buycks to California prep school

WisHoops.net is reporting that BU commit Dwight Buycks will be moving to California and playing with Compton Magic AAU program in California this spring and summer before enrolling at a prep school for the 2007-08 season. Though Buycks enrolled yet, sources have indicated Stoneridge Prep might be the eventual destination for Buycks.

Maybe Dwight Playing out on the west coast will keep the ACC and Big East Schools away and we can keep him committed to BU, I know I want him here pretty badly.

i wish him luck and hope he remembers to hit the books! And when all is said and done he remembers how the Braves staff keep on him and did everything possible to get him on the Hilltop.....so remember to come back as a future Braves DB!

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if Coach Corn has any ties to this prep school or the coaching staff there. If Buycks wanted to play in the Big East or ACC, you'd think he'd be attending prep school out east rather than out west. While it's a few thousand miles away, I think our chances are a little better with him in California than with him out east.

I have a different opinion. Remember, the Pac-10 is out there, and after seeing those California girls and experiencing nice weather maybe he might want to stay!

Book it.....his dad got calls from the bigs and wants to be able to go to the local barber shop and tell his posse "my boy is going to Florida or UNC." He leaves the part out that he'll be sitting on the bench for 2-3 years.
