Seems like most have choosen the college asst with recruiting experience......my guess would be someone should be named soon? With the signing period still running....does JL to name a replacement after that....IMO it should happen soon to keep the recruiting hot and establish the new asst with the current players as well as the incoming ...........what do you think?

I'd like to see (and have a hunch we might) one of JL's former players. All of the great coaches and programs seem to groom their own to be coaches one day.

I'd like to see Tony Bennett

If this situation comes up in a couple of years; I'd say JC. He's said before that he would like to be a coach

Anyone have any update on this or heard anything about the assistant slot? I would guess JL would like to find someone and get them in place soon on this, right? Do we think he might be tapping into his NBA contacts and is waiting for the season to end?

            You've got JL for Chicago.

            The Bueschers for Peoria.

I really think an East Coast guy will give BU the best recruiting edge in the Valley.

I'd go for either Luke Dobrich or Phil Martelli, Jr., both assistants under Joe Mihalich from Niagara.

Dobrich is from DePue and was a solid 3 pt threat for the Purple Eagles. He would bring extensive East Coast ties (especially NYC), and will be able to help sell BU to small town players like Fay and Roth.

If we could get another asst. coach that has recruiting experience I would go that route; otherwise I would try to get a high school coach from the chicago area .

Has anyone heard any names yet on the coaching search? I'm sure they will wait for the recruiting to be done 1st ....but just wondered if anyone had heard anything?

I wonder if Kenny Battle would be a good candidate?
