"WSU recruits were surprised by the events and uncertain how it would affect them.
Evann Baker says he doubts he will come to WSU.
"It's kind of a shock. I guess I am wait-and-see mode like everybody else. I want to play for Coach Turgeon and Coach Spinelli."
Denzel Bowles said Turgeon and assistant coach Scott Spinelli were a big reason he signed with WSU. He would be interested in following Turgeon to Texas A&M.
"It's just a surprise to me," he said. "I don't know (if WSU is still an option)."
Brandon Sampay, a power forward from Howard (Texas) College, said he will delay his signing to see what happens.
"I guess I'm going to look around until they get a new coach," he said. "I thought somebody was loyal to the team. Who knows what happens."
