  • Bob Huggins interested in West Virginia job

I had trouble believing this report, but apparently, it's true. Bob Huggins is being pursued by West Virginia to fill their head coaching vacancy, and it seems Huggins is interested (he is an alum of West Virginia)--

They tried to get him from Cincy the last time they were in need of hiring a new coach. Some thought he would take the job then.

This could be a good fit for him.

are you kidding me?!?! he's just started building a great program at K State! it's understandable that he's an alumn so he's a little interested but he's nuts in my opinion if he screws K State over like this.

If I'm Bob Huggins I'm leaving KState in a heart beat, hes facing an uphill battle there, he's a WVU grad and they have history. Whether or not he is screwing KSU is a matter of opinion(I'm not sure but it happens all the time), and even if it is Bob Higgins is surely not a man of scruples.

I agree 100% with you. I don't see how he could turn down WVU, where he is an alum, to stay at K State. Huggins will do whatever he thinks is best for himself, I'm doubt that the best interest of the K State program, were he to leave, would be anywhere near the top of his list.

i gotcha. it is definitely a better place for him cuz he's an alumn and it's a more established program. i'm just disappointed that he went there, got crazy good recruits, and now is thinking about leaving. i think he did awesome with the recruits he's getting next year. nobody can disagree with that. i'd like to see him stay and try to turn the program around. he's off to a great start.
