  • New guys of next year?

someone please tell me that despite being first year players on our team, juniors scott, fears, and hopefully williams can contribute significantly.

i know fears has been practicing a while with the team but gametime experience with his teammates is extremely important.

well apparently they think scott is very good
but williams though- just pretend hes not gonna be on the team so your not dissapointed next year

i understand that the players are supposedly good, but it takes more than skill to be able to work with the team and fit in a role. ur right about williams though. we should all pretend he's not gonna be here so if he does end up coming, it's a bonus.

I've learned to not expect much from Freshman......and when they do produce like AW did this season it's a bonus! The Juniors need to step it up though and contribute right away....and for juco's this is also an adjustment.....but it's a different one......a Freshman must get used to harder classes....and living away from home....and the Juniors must adjust to the tougher play and skills of D1 ball players....both can be hard!

I don't see the point in lowering our expectations. I will be dissapointed if Williams is not here next year, if I lie to myself or not.

i'm for sure gonna lower my expectations because if i let williams go now in my mind, i won't be really disappointed when the 07 season is being built up.

This is only marginally related to "New Guys Next Year"
but an article I saw covering Loyola discusses their schedule next tyear and lists a home game against Bradley, so I guess we'll continue our series with Loyola at least through 2008.

another thing to keep in mind is that two of our new guys HAVE played d1 basketball already...those two being fears and williams, just something to remember

on an unrelated but equally important note...GO CUBS!!!
COMMIT TO THE INDIAN!!! - denis savard on his blackhawks, but we should adapt this as a bradley slogan.
