  • Braves at Cat building AB for lunch

... and I get to break bread with the boys one more time.

JJ, DA, JC, ZA, WF, DR and SS will be here at 11:45 for a lunchtime meet and greet.

And here I am, exiled in building AC in Mossville. You get carts and Braves, which makes me terribly jealous or something.

    Derned Mossville!

Honestly, we might be better off taking them to the carts rather than making them eat cafeteria food.

It's still early. You could have a "meeting" down here at, oh, say, 11:30 or so...

Make it the carts and I'll be there.

Heheh, sadly I have a real meeting here at noon. Since the two of us are on here at the same time, I'm starting to wonder what the residual effect of bradleyfans.com is on the stock price.

            And, more importantly, STIP.

If the value of my wife's stock options goes down I know who to blame!

I was stuck in a training session all morning earning CPE credits, so I only got to see the guys from a distance.

However, there is a nice banner hanging over the team's table in the cafeteria congratulating them on their successful season, and all the cafeteria workers are dressed in red.

                Nice touch, big yellow!!

They were great. I had my rally towel from the ISU game at my desk by chance, and it's now adorned with the signatures of JJ, WF, DA, JC, DR and SS. ZA was not in attendance, sadly.

JJ is looking for a job in law enforcement, and DA is trying to get in here. Anyone in marketing, hook our favorite 5th year senior up!

They also had pictures of each player availalbe to sign. Many others brought balls and other items for them to autograph. I talked to a couple of the guys and they were very polite as always. Fun to see a couple of them wearing CAt hats!!!

Halfway related... A project of mine has come across a Chris Dunsheath working accounting up in Aurora. I think it almost has to be our former goalkeeper... but I had thought he got drafted by some MLS team and so wonder what he's doing at Cat.

As of a year ago, he wasn't playing anywhere pro ... I've got friends in HR up there. I'll see if I can find out.

EDIT: Former Brave Chris Dunsheath was so totally an accounting major. It's gotta be him.

Cat's Chris Dunsheath is also BU keeper Dunsheath. He just called to ask about the project in question, so I asked him.

I'm suprised he's not playing soccer for money somewhere. He was fantastic at BU.

Yeah I was pretty sure that he got drafted by MLS or something.. But it could be that you're likely to make more money not playing soccer in this country... I just don't know.

I know another Bradley soccer player who works in my department that I think probably could have played pro somewhere, but he thought that the injuries to your body don't justify any pay differential...
