  • Recruit on BU Campus on 3/27

I was cramming for a test today in the library and JL, an asst. coach and a taller 6'7" -6'8" Caucasian kid with short curly brownish hair was walked into the library and over to the model of the future facilities, JL spent a while talking to him about what we would have here. Anyone know who it could be?

Knapp I believe is listed at 6'8" or 6'9". I'd love to get a verbal from that kid, he's got some good programs after him. Auburn, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, Missouri St, and Wichita St are all listed as potential suitors. Indiana just got a verbal from 6'8" mammoth and former Westinghouse star DeAndre Thomas, so I am guessing that they're probably off the list at this point.

This is a kid that could play the 5 next season no-problem....I really hope it is WK!

Indeed this would be a good get for the Braves. I would be very happy if he gave a verbal.
            Can we start winning soon?

              Here is his rivals profile:

Here are the juco rankings again. Knapp is rated #41

A 6'9, 240 PF would make a definite immediate impact. Hope he verbals...

I'm sure this has been discussed, but Knapp averages 11.9 ppg and 5.0 rpg. He's shooting .572 from the field, and 65% from the line.

                His JUCO team has 4 double-digit scorers, averaging 14.2, 12.7, 11.9, and 11.4, respectively.

The guy averaging 12.7 ppg, and a team-leading 8.7 rpg to go with 112 blocks (over 3 per game) is another player BU is hard after, Charlie Coley. Coley is being pursued by Arizona, Auburn, Kansas St, Missouri, Oklahoma St, St. John's, Texas A & M, UNLV, and BU. I've also heard Louisville is interested as well. Certainly some stiff competition for the Braves.

Perhaps they could be a package deal? We can only hope.

The more I look at that picture the more I think it's him. However don't take it for more than what it is, me thinking I saw that guy on campus. I agree, I would love him to verbal!

There are a lot of fans who would rather have the high scoring Coley who is 6'7 and would be about MS size wise.........but he is not a 5.........I want a Juco 5 to man the spot while the young freshman get used to D1 ball and school! Yet maybe there would be room for both?

Landing both would be huge, but I don't know if they'll let us start more than 5 players...

I think both would be the ideal situation for the Braves. Coley would be an upgrade over Williams, and Knapp would fill the void we have in the middle. Both have been thought to have the talent to start at BU. Add 2 players who've played together for 2 years in Knapp and Coley to 3 players who have already played/practiced together for a year in Ruffin, Crouch, and Fears, and you've got the makings of a very strong, cohesive starting 5.

Yes, this is all pie-in-the-sky talk and pure speculation. Just thinkin' out loud...if that's possible via the internet.

I don't know why but I feel that if RA astill really wanted to come to BU ....he would have verballed by now....I know his father wants him to play closer to home in CA.....so I hope we land someone who can help out right away!

I think Knapp and Coley are higher priorities than Austin. I hope we end up with 1 of the 3, if not 2.
