'What should "O" do?'

here is a topic on the ISU board where a poster is imploring ISU fans to go to the site where Osiris has created a Facebook group (I don't know what it is or where to find it) where he has asked people to tell him what he should do. King-O has asked:
"HELP ME COME TO A CONCLUSION" and "CRISIS SITUATION FOR ME".
Apparently over 100 people have joined and left advice. There is even an snub about a Bradley fan who left some advice. Fetz, was that you?

Hilarious. If this is for real, and OE is asking for input from Facebook visitors, then I have to think he's leaving and all the begging by fans isn't going to change that. Maybe if a few more of those fans begging for him to return would have bought tickets and showed up at games it might be different!
Does anyone have a link to this site?

OE is a good ballplayer and did fine for being a freshman.
Here are some comparable stats:
Player.........scoring avg.........points per shot...........points per minutes played
O. Eldridge (ISU)......9.5...................1.16............. ............0.4
J. Young (Drake)......9.3...................1.18........... ..............0.4
M. Stinson (InSU).....9.4...................1.17............. ............0.4
I. Miles (CU)............6.1...................1.20........ .................0.3
A. Warren (BU)........4.1...................1.5...........................0.3
Here are the figures for the top shooting guards Nate Funk and Jeremy Crouch:
N. Funk (CU)...........17.7.................1.38.......... ................0.5
J. Crouch................13.8.................1.40... .......................0.5
I am not so sure that any one of the freshman players couldn't have boosted their scoring average a bit, had they played more minutes, and taken more shots, and especially if they played on teams where they were a main offensive option. To conquer the neverending butchering of stats

But here are some comparable stats:

J. Young (Drake)......9.3...................1.18........... ..............0.4

I. Miles (CU)............6.1...................1.20........ .................0.3
A. Warren (BU)........4.1...................1.5...........................0.3
(so it can easily be seen that on the basis of points per shot taken and points per minute played, Eldridge's numbers were simply NOT that impressive. It then appears the major reason for his stats are the number of shots he takes and the number of minutes he plays.)
Then, just as a comparison (other shooting guards in the Valley)...
here are the figures for Nate Funk and Jeremy Crouch:
N. Funk (CU)...........17.7.................1.38.......... ................0.5
J. Crouch................13.8.................1.40... .......................0.5
I am not so sure that any one of these fine freshman players couldn't have ran their scoring average up a bit and looked every bit as good as Eldridge, had they played lots more minutes, taken lots more shots, and especially if they played on teams where there were no other real offensive options, causing the other players to put the ball in their hands for more shots.Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10

I can't access Redbirdfan here at work, but I'm almost positive this thread started with outdated info.
I can tell you that Osiris loves ISU and has made many friends in his time there. He will not transfer within the league as he'd have to sit 2 seasons. He will not be pulling a Curtis Stuckey.
I believe he will remain a Redbird.Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10

I was invited to this facebook group last night but to tell you the truth, I think its a hoax. All this facebook drama with OE began right after Moser was let go and at first it seemed real but starting a group like this does not seem like something OE would do whatsoever. I think someone may have gotten ahold of his password and is pretending to post things under his name. From all the players Ive talked to, there is no crisis and nobody is leaving. Whether that turns out to be true remains to be seen but IMHO the facebook group is BS and was not created by Osiris.

Only one freshman in that list faced a schedule of opponents that was ranked Top 20 among all schools.
ISU's preconference schedule ranks #243, and ranked worst in the Valley.
Obviously all those freshmen are quality players, but who you face and how many shots you take
may have more to do with the scoring numbers than most people realize.
It is obvious that among those freshmen, Eldridge has the fewest points scored per shot taken!
Conclusion, to look good, take more shots?
