Add Texas A&M to the list of screwed teams tonight. Ultra ticky tack foul at the end to give Memphis 2 FT's to take the 1 point lead with 3.1 seconds left. Then a bad pass inbounds which was tipped out. Should of only taken off .3 tenths of a second at the most but after a lengthy ref discussion and play review, they decided to take off 1.1 seconds. So A&M missed the tying near mid court 3 and that was that. I can see maybe calling that ticky tack foul in the middle of the game but not with 5 seconds left and there desperatly tapping the ball towards the rim.

The time taken off the clock was correct. The pass was deflected and then hit the COURT. The clock runs until the ball hits out of bounds after coming down from the bounce.

Yes I didn't think they should have called the foul either. However the anouncers were driving me crazy on the 3.1 second call. Saying just make a call, there should only be .2 of a second taken off the clock. First of all it's the tourney and the call is kind of important so if it takes a couple seconds to make the correct call then fine. But most of all if they are gonna rip the refs for the call maybe they should watch the replay instead of complaining about how long it's taking. Without a stopwatch I said it had to run at least a full second off the clock. It bounced inbounds and then took at least a second to hit out of bounds.

A&M gets no sympathy from me. They let Memphis get 4 offensive rebounds on their last posession. If the guys are boxing out instead of watching the shot, then this foul never happens. ou have to call that foul at the end as the guy got hit at point blank and it caused him to miss.
