Here's to everything working out so DB ends up on the Hilltop.,....I still think this kid can be a very good player for the Braves!
I agree...short term it has actually helped us IF the juco that is taking his place comes through. We'll most likley get more from him next year than we would have Buycks.

Long term we are POSSIBLY losing a good recruit.
Well, it may be a blessing since most people probably cannot pronounce his name... I think the "y" is silent in Wisconsin, eh...
We're never going to see DB in a BU uniform. Prep school kids tend to be overhyped, so I would anticipate him landing at some BCS school. That's too bad, it sounds like he could have been pretty good in a year or 2.
Since his outside shooting is not his strong point, he will not get mega-offers at prep school, unless Greg McDermott needs another mid-major, 6-2 shooting guard.
His last one is averaging 5 points, 1 rebound.
I personally am not to worried about losing this type of player. I am sure he is a very nice player with a nice upside but he is what he is and that is a 6 2/3 guard. JL and staff have shown they have a system that will continually attract an athlete of DB's quality, its not this type of player I am worried about attracting.
Its the 6 8+ power forward/center we need to attract and input into our program.
I wish DB well but honestly if he comes thats fine but would really prefer another type of player.

we do need to get some strong inside play. we have enough guards.
flipper,
this year the guards we lose are Tauai, Adams, and Franklin.
Then in 2008 we lose Ruffin and Crouch.
Then is 2009 we lose Fears, Williams, Brown, and Cole-Scott.
That's 5 key guards lost by spring of 2008, and 9 gone by spring of 2009.
So far, the only guards we'll have booked as as being here beyond that, are Warren, Maniscalco, and Daniel West.
I think Jim Les knows what he's doing by trying to bring in GOOD guards as freshmen so they'll be here a while into the future.
If we still land Buycks for 2008-2009, I will be very happy.
