  • PJ Star Editor Backpeddles Again

    This is funny.
    It is becoming too common.
The PJ Star Sports Editor, Bill Liesse, writes some kind of hit-man piece, broadsides someone, then comes back a couple days later, and apologizes, and retracts it.

So after clobbering Illinois and Bruce Weber saying many of the Chicago Public League coaches dislike the guy, and that he used the "N" word, and that he had coaches walking out on a clinic, now that he actually goes to the people and asks them and gets some facts, the story is completely different.

Now he says nobody in Chicago believes Bruce Weber used the objectionable word, and the CPL coaches in general like Weber. And that the "coaches walking out on a Bruce Weber clinic" isn't true at all.

Some time ago it was the column ripping Eric Gordon and family, then a subsequent apology.
And these PJS writers accuse the public of unfair attacks on people?

    Unbelievable

How do guys like this get to keep their jobs?! It would be one thing if he was a beat writer just out of college but he is the Sports Editor

Unbelievable! I'm sure our favorite "media critic", MacabreMob, would have something to say about this.

Obviously, this guy did not go to BU

It seems the PJS prefers "to take the expedient route rather than the principled one..." , as a certain retired sports coulmnist might have said.

I agree some have been hard on the PJS but there are times like this that the PJS people make it easy.
Almost every Illini fan and Bradley fan has at time felt slighted and insulted by their attacks, they can hardly expect to avoid criticism when they report things poorly.

Yeah, but I think he only teaches one or two electives.

Some people like to rip on the JS, but I think Wessler and Reynolds do a fair job. It could be much worse....

At least they aren't hardcore liberal like the rest of the drive by media.
Nowhere in the Constitution is healthcare a right. Either is employment insurance, food stamps, and welfare.

I ask what makes the liberal pansies think those are rights?

                  Stupid liberals.

Does the neoconservative movement even exist anymore?

The conservatives are the ones who want personal responsibility without all the excuses and crybaby alibis.

Anti affirmative action, anti big government, anti welfare, anti government taking care of everyone. Pretty much the way it should be.

I know! Let's be a liberal like Arnold and give illegal immigrants healthcare!!!!!!!

I've only been listening to him for a few months, I've had these views for years.

Only after listening to him and Glenn Beck did I realize what a bunch of pansies the liberals are.

If it didn't I'd still be with the Republican party.

Libertarianism sounds too much like liberal.

We need to form a hardcore conservative party.
