If only all of the above will actually be here next year?
    Doubt it!

I don't get it why do so many people think all of these people won't be here? Buycks and Cole are the only ones who haven't signed a LOI.

At least ONE current BU player or one incoming recruit won't be because of the Juco signing/verbal. And strong rumors of another means TWO gone...thats probably why so many feel some are gone.

I think the fact that Jassey isn't on the above list takes into account the "at least one" part of the equation. I'd rather not speculate or throw names around of who I think the other player might be if there is indeed another signing in the works.

I'm very much looking forward to next year even though half the roster will consist of new faces!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I agree....and even Jassey is speculation if we want to get technical. I still wish no announcements about recruits were made until everything with the current roster has played out.

It will be a team full of many fresh faces thats for sure....

If you listened to the end of the BU / MSU game on WMBD after coach Les was on....Dave Snell mentioned that next year will be fun with the new guys and and our returning players...and then he named all the returning players except for Jassey. Was this just a slip on his part or did he accidently let the cat out of the bag?

And then we have a Sam Singh sighting.... THAT surprised me. When was the last time he saw any action..then in the last game.

I really don't know what to think about Sam. He's a big body, which we need, and has shown some potential. I really wonder about his knee though. After coming off of a couple of surgeries I wonder if it will ever be "100%" again or is this as good as it's going to get. I've heard it takes at least one full year to recover from knee surgery and if that's the case maybe Sam could come back next year and give us some positive minutes.

Yeah, I'm also confused on what to think about SS. From what I've heard it works pretty darn hard and obviously has caught a couple of bad breaks, but It just doesn't look like he can play at the level we need him to, but then again he is still recovering. It really took me by surprise when I saw the PT he got this last game.

I can tell you this much, you can't miss him when he's walking around campus.

It only takes about 6 mos to heal from an ACL surgery, but it takes a good year to start to trust it enough to really go "balls to the wall". I think SS is in that area where he's out there trying, but hasn't reached the psychological state to just not think about the leg and go for it. I'd bet that the next two years would be a completely different story if he's willing to really work at his game this summer and stick around (think JC).

SS has size, great hands, good foot work and a has shown signs of having a very competitive spirit. He just had alot of ring rust this year from not competing for about 2 full years.

                      That's my editorial opinion.

Recall, though, that Sam had to undergo TWO separate knee operations, when the first one didn't lead to full strength in some of the ligaments.
Sam's situation is tough and I admire all the hard work he has done to make it back this far.
                        I wish him continued success.
At least he has a Sweet Sixteen ring, and an NIT ring and still may has 2 more years of college eligibility.

Academics, Buycks was announced today. I hear another "prized recruit" is next!

I thought about that & clearly there would be more muscle atrophy as he probbably never regained full strength following the 1st go around. In addition any time they cut on you there's the potential for developing scar tissue. That said, given his relatively quick return to the team and if it was confined to a ligament repair, my guess is the recovery time will be essentially the same full year period both physically and psychologically.

My hope is that we have a fully functional SS the next two years.
