WOW.....it's really over...

It's just hitting me that this season is really done.....and 4 quality young men have played their last time in a Braves uni! I knew this day would come ...yet I kind of feel a little empty inside....this season has lasted a long time and it was a good run.....I guess I'll have to wait for all the new info on future player announcements along with who will become a Brave...who will sign and who will be leaving?

I'll pull for SIU and all the other mids who can keep it interesting for me.....I just wasn't ready for it to be over....

I was going to say, that it's not quite over, yet. There is the postseason banquet. But I see tornado already started a thread about the banquet.

This wasn't the most successful season Bradley has had, but it was one of the most enjoyable. I feel the future is very bright for Bradley. I see a further move to the top of the MVC next year and for the next several years.

All in All, Bradley still got quite a bit of national attention after a 5 or 6 year hiatus before last season. Any little bit helps to keep the good recruits coming in. Lets enjoy what they gave us, enjoy the rest of college basketball before a 6.5 month off season and get ready for MLB.

It's always tough to end a season with a loss, but of course, that's pretty much the way it's going to end for 99% of the teams out there.

This team was awesome and exciting to watch during the year. Congratulations to all the players who fought with everything they had to get to achieve their success. I certainly didn't think everything they accomplished was possible at the beginning of this year. Thank you for proving me wrong.

let me tell you guys that you are the most improved basketball team in the MVC! After the tough years and when you guys beat us in the MVC tourney last year and put us into the NIT. Then you went to the SWEET 16! this year.....another post season. hopefully you can keep it up. go braves go jays!
now you see how i have been feeling since friday. it hurts a lot!

It was a tough way to finish and I really wanted the season to continue, but it's been a great year. The team definately passed many of our expectations, including mine, and maybe because they were doing such a great job of exceceding expectations, the team was great fun to watch. I wasn't ready for the season to be over, and it hasn't yet sunk in that our seniors are moving on.

Anyway, after the game, as Combat Designated Driver ser_solace can attest, I allowed my self some distraction by watching the 300, and then drinking heavily in honor of my Irish heritage. GO BRAVES.
