Creighton had 3 scorers in Funk, Tolliver, and Porter on the floor and they are all seniors; do not know about their recruiting class but it is time to take their place as one of the premier teams in the league.
There are only two MVC teams left playing and BU is one of them!!! Dont get me wrong I would much rather Creighton won but we still have at least one more game in us and maybe more.........
Anyone who watched this game would get the idea that unless Dana Altman pulls a rabbit out of a hat, that Creighton is going to be hurting next year.
The three seniors carried Creighton the entire game, even tho Funk didn't have a particularly good first half, but he ended up with 23 points but only 1-7 on 3-pointers, and that one came almost too late to help.
The combination of Funk, Tolliver, Porter had 53 of the 71 points,
and everyone else combined had 18 pts, and was 7 for 21 and 2-12 from 3-point range.

Yeah & BU lost O'Bryant, Sommerville, Bennett & Wright last year!!! Just pointing out that I wouldn't discount Creighton until Dana Altman has left the building. I remember when Weber left for IL and Painter took over, the pre-season pub's and most posters had them dropping off, but they didn't miss a beat.
I have heard that P'Allen Stinnett dropped out of Brewster Academy and has not been heard from lately.
Anyway, remember their great recruiting class of last year, and D'Angalo Jackson quit and turned up at Wisconsin-Green Bay, & Ty Morrison dropped out.
Creighton has had some tough luck with recent recruits.

Stinnett left Brewster cause he didn't need to be there as already qualified and the season was done.
CU will have 4 Rivals Top 150 players (Miles, Walker, Stinnett & Millard) on the floor next year not including Kenny Lawson who was 4 stars at Scout but not a Rivals Top 150.
That is more rated talent than any team in MVC history since Internet recruiting sites were created.
We'll be young but never more talented. Should be interesting.
