Yeah, I picked Duke too. I had debated picking VCU, but I went with Duke due to Coach K's great first round record. Oh well, but great job by VCU!

Of course I had Oral Roberts winning, but that didn't pan out either. Anyway, go Winthrop! I have them in my Sweet 16 along with SIU of course. And Creighton I have advancing one round.

I listened to the last of this game on the radio and the announcers said Duke hadn't bowed out in the first round since the last time they had a 6 or higher seed. Hmmm think they've been protected just a bit over the years?

i also had vcu...my only loss today has been odu to butler...anyone else catch packer's rant on how there was no way duke would lose cuz it says "duke" on their uniform, and that vcu would basically crumble to the name duke...wonder what he's going to say now? i forgot what this was on, either the college game night or sports center interview...i was getting pretty pissed just listening/watching him say that...i would love to sit down and watch these games with these stupid guys and kick him in the face after a "mid-major" wins. he's like one of those "older" people who are so set in their ways and he can't addapt to the fact that the talent level has increased so much in college basketball, along with everyone from the "high majors" jumping ship after a year that "mid majors" play better basketball as a team and have caught up to the level of play of the "big boys". sorry for the rant but it just makes me so mad...

After seeing VCU handle Duke and twice make great comebacks in this game, I'm scratching my head as to how the heck we handled them so easily at their place. We must have played one hell of a game. I mean, I remember it, but it seemed too easy in my memory.

We did play exceptionally well that night. We shot and rebounded well, and handled their press with ease. Even Rams fans at the caazone were saying Bradley made their team look rather pedestrian. They were very impressed with the Braves who were the last team to hand VCU a loss.
