  • Recruits at last night's game

There were several recruits at last night's game.

One was Tyrone Cole-Scott a great shooting, prolific scoring guard fromTyler Junior College, Tyler, Texas.

    Profile--

    Bio-

He is a 5'10" shooting guard, originally from Waterloo, Iowa. He scored 1,021 career points in 2 years at Tyler JC. He averaged 19.7 ppg as a freshman, and 16.1 ppg this year as a soph. He collected 1st Team All Region Honors this past season. Tyrone made 185 three-pointers the last two seasons.
He also plans on visiting Creighton, but he was so impressed with last night's atmosphere, that he might have already made up his mind.

Also, Sam Maniscalco was at last night's game, and I saw one other recruit- a tall (about 6'8"), thin, young kid that looked like maybe a high school junior.

        Memo to Tyrone Cole-Scott--

If you are considering Creighton, I suggest you check with the last junior college guard that chose Creighton over Bradley.
Dominic Bishop was recruited to Bradley 2 years ago, and selected Creighton because they had a winning program and needed a point guard. But even after Josh Dotzler got injured, they played the most of the year without a point guard and Bishop sat the bench. He left after his junior year and transferred to some lowly Div II school.

Meanwhile Bradley was left with an extra scholarship and gave it to a lightly recruited guard from Texas, Will Franklin. All Will has done is lead Bradley in scoring and game-winning shots!
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

At the same time do we really need another sub 6foot guard. If TCS is that good, then by all means but it seems to me we need size, not perimeter players.
Bradley by birth, Duke by diploma. Both forevermore.
