  • Antoine Tisby suspended

A sad end to his college career. South Carolina actually won their 2nd round NIT game tonight, but Antoine Tisby did not play and did not travel with the team to Florida State. He was suspended indefinitely by coach Dave Odom. Tisby had great potential, but never seemed to achieve that potential. Here are several reports.

Seems like I recall people saying if Tisby, Granger, and Tucker had all stayed at BU, that the Braves would have been going to the NCAA within a couple years.
Isn't that ironic, given how much of a problem DG was when he was here, how much of a problem AT was and still is, and given that JT never really wanted to be here, and transferred back to his home area.
All JL did was go out and get the players who wanted to play for BU and I am very happy he did.
Are there any people left who still wish we'd have kept Tucker, Tisby, etc.??

If he wanted to be here I would love to have Joah Tucker on this team.
Basketball doesn't build character it reveals it.

I think we could have had this kind of fun sooner if some of them wanted to be here. But, if they didn't want to be here, then I didn't want them here. It's their loss. New Mexico's MWC Tournament win and UW-M's Sweet 16 trip didn't garner half as much national attention as BU's run is. Not even close!

As someone who went to school with Joah and Danny and still keeps in contact with Danny, people just need to let it go. The Braves are winning.

If you don't have anything nice to say, just leave the past where it is.
Billy Packer, Digger Phelps and Jim Nantz need to retire now.

If Danny wouldn't have left the way he did, and made the remarks he made about BU and the coaching staff, I think most around here would be wishing him nothing but the best. You don't hear too many dispariging remarks about Tucker or Tisby. He made his own bed on this one. Hopefully he's grown up since then, for his sake.

I don't see anyone dissing Granger, only the neutral reference to those players leaving.

Danny left a bad taste in some of the BU fans on the way he left and if I remeber we are in America and people can voice their opinion. He's a big boy and making NBA $$$ now, I think he can handle it. He chose his own path and everyone here has a right to their opinion. Personally as a human being I wish him the best but as a B-ball player I really do not care. I wish we would stop mentioning him on our board. He's not a "Brave for Life", his loss.
