Remember Bill Liesse's column that proclaimed the accident had "no injuries", so we shouldn't be too concerned about it?
Now Mike Nadel pummels all of Central Illinois with his column, in several newspapers all with different headlines, telling us
the accident "neither killed nor serious injured anybody
(Carlwell is recovering nicely and still considers Jamar a close friend.)"
(the grammatical error is Nadel's not mine)
But that contrasts quite boldly with these reports:

"CARLWELL RECOVERY: Illinois freshman center Brian Carlwell, who suffered a severe concussion in a Feb. 12 car accident, will travel with the team but not dress for the game. His recovery has been slower than he had hoped.
Carlwell isn't practicing with the Illini. He works instead with a physical therapist to re-learn his walking, running, jumping and catching skills.
"It's been a little slower than he thought," Weber said. "There's a little sadness and frustration. He was hoping to maybe be part of the tournament. That's the first thing doctors talked about.
"It hasn't come as fast as he would have hoped. At the same time, he's alive. He went through some traumatic injuries. We're telling him to stay positive and keep working at it."
It is entirely possible that Carlwell might have serious, permanent brain damage as a direct resulot of the accident and concussion and "Hemmorrhage" that is now being revealed.
How can irresponsible reporters keep trivializing this incident by repeatedly claiming that no injuires occurred?
Please........read your own newspapers and get it right, and stop scolding readers for simply asking that the facts be revealed and not hidden, and that the law be upheld.
