  • Marcus Pollard signs with Seattle

Former Bradley basketballer Marcus Pollard was released by Detroit after 2 years there, and has signed a 1-year contract with Seattle.
After catching 46 passes in 2005, the Detroit Lions did not utilize their tight end much in 2006, and he only had 12 pass receptions. Marcus will begin his 13th season in the NFL.--

Marcus replaces another tight end on the Seahawks roster as Jerramy Stevens was released. Stevens was just arrested for DUI and marijuana possession.--

This is a good move for Marcus. He hardly saw the field at Detroit and he might get the chance to play a lot more in Seattle. Even if he does sit the bench, he will at least be on the bench of a playoff caliber team. Good luck Marcus!

Detroit became a bad fit for Marcus when they switched their offense around and got Mike Martz as their offensive coordinator. I think he'll have a better chance to make an impact in Seattle. Good luck to Marcus.

As a Colts fans I was kinda hoping he'd come back. Just a side note Marcus has setup a serious funding drive with Bradley University the will be rolling out sometime in the near future. If anyone remebers getting calls about the 'Tim Shea Challenge' it will be something similar. Just so everyone knows Marcus hasn't forgotten about good 'Ol BU!
