  • Mississippi State beats Mississippi Valley State 82-63

In one of the first round NIT games last night, Miss. State pounded Miss. Valley State 82-63--

This game is significant because the winner of the Bradley-Providence game plays the winner of this game in round 2.
So if Bradley can win tonight, they will play at Mississippi State. The game is scheduled for Saturday at 11 AM, and will be televised nationally on ESPN.
The attendance was 5,501. Their average attendance for the season was 9,282, and their highest attendance was 10,421 for their game against Florida. It would seem likely that for an 11 AM second round game, they might draw even less than 5,000.

11 AM? Wow. What time is the 1st NCAA game Saturday?

      What a bummer...
It is a 10-11 hour drive to Starkville, MS (plus lose an hour crossing time zone), so I was hoping it could be done with 5-6 hrs on Fri and 5-6 on Sat., but if the start time is 11 AM, then we'll have to change plans.

Let's take care of business tonight before we even THINK about Saturday. I get very nervous when we start looking ahead. (superstitious!)

          GO BRAVES!

Just so you know, there is not a time zone change going to MS. Just trying to help more Bradley fans get there any way I can.
If you build it, the students will come.

I get "veryl nervous" when we are playing 6'10", 6'8", 6"7", and a 2 guard at 6'7". We whave not done well against teams with height. ie: Illinois, Michigan State.
Please do not tell me Rutgers had Height. They were NOT a very good basketball team! Providence is a good basketball team.

Were you nervous before the KU and Pitt games too

                Factors on their side...Height.

Factors on OUR side....speed, handles, homecourt, 3 point prowess, fresh legs.....rum and cokes
