  • NIT game attendance at other schools

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. Did y'all see the game attendance at the other NIT games tonight? Highest attendance was a little over 7,000 at the WV game I believe it was. The broadcasted MI game only had about 3,500. All the other games were below 5,000 as well. Can you believe that? Then tomorrow night, here will be BU with around 10,000 strong and won't be on national TV while the other schools pack a measly 5,000 in and get on national TV. A majority of pro teams base there broadcasting rights to local viewers on crowd sales/ticket sales, ESPN should make a special arrangement for tomorrow night I think. A home team doing good and a raucous crowd/student section makes for good viewing in my opinion.

The attendance at Michigan for last night's game against Utah State was 3,114!
    This is absolutely woeful!
Their home average this season is 9,968 which is also a bit embarrassing for a Big Ten team with an arena that holds 13,751.

I am soo glad we have great fans, I think it's such a huge asset to the school and the team. Out of curiosity are most people here alum, local peorians(maybe thats a word?), or a solid mix of both?

I find that more people are BU alums than I had ever thought.
To me it seems most of the long term season ticket holders are BU alums or community people, business people, and high rollers who have adopted BU, for various reasons that involve business, promotions, and some just to see great basketball.

There are alot of locals, as i am also a loacl/student, and I know many local people that regulary go to the games. There do seem to be ALOT of alums though as well.

Thanks for keeping a low profile, DRU.....you're an example for us all.

I was born and raised in central Illinois, and am a BU alum. I've had season tickets since I graduated in 1978.

Heck, as a mere lad in Pennsylvania I remember seeing Bradley on TV. With all of those Bobby Rays, Billy Joes, and Jimmy Tom's I thought Bradley had to be located in Texas.
I did not know Bradley was in Peoria until I moved here in the mid 70's.
I've adopted them. They get me throutgh the winters.
                Go Braves!

I guess I am a community person (I like that term better than homeless) and a BU Grad....Still can't believe they let me out!
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

I don't have any ties to the university other than being born and raised in Peoria and on Bradley basketball!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Started following BU when I was a freshman, way back in 2000. I've been a season ticket holder since then. Even stayed in the area after graduation.

I'm still a BU (SLASH) Iowa fan (due to my roots, growing up in Cedar Rapids, IA).
