  • Florida A&M going to NCAA

Florida A&M beat Delaware State for the champiuonship of the MEAC conference. Bradley clobbered FAMU early in the season 107-75. But they finished 20-13. Their RPI was 184 going into the game, and dropped to 164 with the win.

Delaware State finished 21-11 and their RPI worsened to 125, and they won't be in the NCAA. Former BU recruit Roy Bright had 23 points.

FAMU becomes the 3rd tournament champion Bradley has beaten this year (Wright State, VCU). Throw in the regular season win over SIU and that makes 4--does anyone outside the Bradley camp recognize this, or am I clutching at any positive to try and will the Braves into the field of 65?

That MAC final between Miami and Akron was one of the most bizarre and dramatic finishes you'll ever see!

Yeah that was nuts. I still like the Kentucky player goof up the other night. KY up by 3 with about 6 seconds left. At the free throw line to make it a 4 point lead and one of the numnut KY players walks off the FT box as his teammate was standing at the line. That gave KY a FT violation. MS State ends up making the 3 to send it into OT and KY ends up losing by 2 points. Not to damaging for KY as they'll still go to the big dance but amusing nonetheless.

This is the reason I really don't like the NCAA way of picking, although it is probably the best way anyone can think of picking a team to get into the tourny. A team we EASILY disposed of early in the season is going to the dance, and we have a better record than they do. I don't know, I guess I am just a little fed up...haha.
